UK & Ireland's Booksellers Association Conference 2023
The 2023 UK & Ireland’s Booksellers Association Conference and Gardners Trade Show will take place on 1-2 October 2023, at Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island (formerly Jury's Inn) in Hinckley, UK.
The two day event will feature a packed schedule for delegates to enjoy, including workshops, guest author talks and many networking opportunities.
Last year, RISE Bookselling brought 7 international booksellers to the BA Conference 2022. Not only did the event give them an opportunity to get to know booksellers from other countries, to get inspired during the skills labs and to hear from interesting speakers - it also allowed them to gain a unique insight into the British and Irish bookselling world. When and where will the event take place?
The BA conference will take place on 1 and 2 October 2023, at Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island in Hinckley, UK.
The full programme will be published in the summer.

Through the RISE Bookselling programme, we help booksellers of all kinds to participate in international training and networking opportunities. We enable booksellers, who are members of one of the network organisations, to join their colleagues and participate in a dedicated programme, developed in partnership with the event organisers.
Following a successful application, applicants will be offered a place to participate in selected international sector event. Following the event, participants will have to provide an overview of activities report to the coordinator. They will also be expected to participate in RISE promotional opportunities following the event, which can include, among others, sharing quotes, blog posts and multimedia from the event on RISE website and social media channels, as well as providing feedback on the event.
Through this agreement, the coordinator will cover travel costs for the participants between their home and event location, and accommodation costs for the duration of the programme.
The conference will be held in English.
The deadline to apply is 9 July 2023, 23:59 CEST.
