We have secured some rooms at a discount rate for the conference attendees at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel, where the conference will also take place. Strategically located in Riga city center, the hotel is a stone throw away from some of the city's many green spaces, museums and historical landmarks.
If you’re interested in booking a room, please select that option when registering for the event and you will receive the instructions to activate your discount.
Please note that the capacity is limited, therefore we advise you to book your accommodation as soon as possible.
When will the conference take place?
The third edition of the RISE Bookselling conference will take place as a two-day event, on 23rd and 24th March 2025.
Where will the conference take place?
The conference will be hosted in Riga, Latvia. The event will take place at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel.
How much does it cost to attend the RISE Conference?
To ensure we continue providing a high-quality experience at the RISE Bookselling Conference and to be able to keep organising it in the many years to come, we have introduced a participation fee.
This change is necessary to cover the significant costs associated with organizing the event, including – but not restricted to - complete catering for attendees, high-level keynote speakers, and various logistical aspects essential to the conference’s success. We have also considered concerns around food waste and aim to better manage resources with this new approach.
Booksellers members of associations part of the RISE network: 50€/participant
Booksellers directly associated with the RISE network/EIBF: 50€/participant
All other participants: 75€
City & bookshops tour: 10€/per person
These modest fees will help us maintain the exceptional standard of the conference, ensure responsible use of resources, while still allowing for the participation of a large number of booksellers coming from very different economic backgrounds around the world.
What if I cannot make it anymore and need to cancel?
Conference participants may cancel their registration by 31/01/2025 for a full refund, minus a 5€ cancellation fee. Unfortunately, registrations cancelled after 31/01/2025, are non-refundable regardless of circumstances. Participants may transfer their registration to another individual from their shop/company on or before 03/02/2025.
All requests for transfers and cancellations must be made in writing to info@risebookselling.eu
In which language will the conference be held?
The event will be held in English, but interpretation services will be considered, based on the number of attendees from the same language group that would like to benefit from this. When registering to attend the RISE conference, please note if you would like to benefit from interpretation services. We are in a position to offer interpretation services, only if we reach the minimum of 50 participants from the same language group.
An international conference in the Baltics, 300 people, what about sustainability?
The RISE team recognises that large scale events have an impact on the environment and the use of resources. Therefore, we have embarked on a sustainability journey and have taken small steps to start reducing our carbon footprint, while still ensuring the top-quality RISE Conference as you’ve come to know it these past years.
When registering for our upcoming conference, you will be asked to respond to a couple of questions regarding your preferences for conference materials and food options, among other things. We greatly appreciate your input.
To help reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable conference, we encourage attendees to consider taking the train rather than flying, if possible. Rail travel produces significantly lower emissions than air travel and can offer a very relaxed journey!
Not sure you can reach Riga by train? We recommend checking these two websites that will immediately tell you what is doable!
